Joining and sharing your link
How to apply, what happens while you wait, and how the link works once you are in.
6 min read
The affiliate programme is applied to rather than switched on. Everything below runs in order: the form, the wait, the code you choose once, and then the link itself, which is genuinely yours and is counted from the moment you send it.
Applying
Open Affiliate from the foot of the rail. If you have not applied, the page IS the application, there is nothing to find first. Five questions, all of them read by a person, so an answer nobody can act on is the one thing worth avoiding, they cannot come back and ask you a follow-up through the product.
- Where is your audience: YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord, Twitch, a newsletter, a website or blog, or somewhere else.
- Link to your profile or channel: the actual address, so a reviewer can look at it.
- How many people follow you there: a band rather than an exact figure.
- What you cover: futures day trading, options, prop firm challenges, whatever it actually is.
- How you plan to share Alltra: at least twenty characters, and the more concrete the better. This is the field a decision usually turns on.
Commission is not on the form and not on the page, because there is no published rate. Terms are agreed individually and yours is discussed if your application is accepted.
Nothing on the affiliate page is sample data. The screen you get is decided by your own application, and Demo Mode is deliberately not one of the answers, precisely so nobody is ever handed a dashboard and a link that belong to somebody else.
While it is being read
Once it is sent, the page becomes a short panel confirming the date it arrived. No turnaround is quoted, because nobody has committed to one and a made-up date is worse than none. There is nothing to press and nothing to chase.
If it is not accepted, the page says so rather than leaving you looking pending indefinitely. The reason is not shown: it is written by an operator for operators, not reviewed as copy for an applicant. If your audience or your plans change afterwards, the partnerships team on Discord will take another look.
Your referral code is chosen once
The first time you open the page after being approved, Alltra asks you to pick the code your links will carry, over the top of the dashboard, before anything on it means anything. It is the only time you choose it: a code goes into video descriptions and pinned comments you cannot edit afterwards, so changing it later would quietly break links you have already shared. That is why there is no rename control on the panel. The field opens empty rather than pre-filled with the one the database generated at signup, because accepting a string you never chose is the outcome the prompt exists to prevent. If you need it changed later, contact affiliate support.
How copying works
Press Copy link and the link goes to your clipboard, and a message says so. If the write fails, a denied clipboard permission, a page not served over a secure connection, an older browser, you get a message saying that instead, telling you to select the link and copy it by hand. The one thing that does not happen is silence.
- The field is selectable on purpose: it is read-only, so you cannot edit the link by accident, but it is a real field you can select from and copy by hand. That is the fallback the failure message sends you to.
What happens when somebody follows it
The link is not a marketing address that hands off to a signup page. It is a door of its own: it records the click on the server, with no JavaScript required at the visitor’s end, sets a thirty-day cookie carrying your code, and then forwards to the signup page with the code already on it. That is why a click counts even if the person navigates away immediately, and why somebody who clicks today and signs up a fortnight later is still yours.
If the recording cannot be made, because the service is slow or unreachable, the visitor is forwarded anyway. Losing a click is a missing row in a counter; losing the redirect would make your link look broken to everyone who followed it.
The per-channel links
Each row in the panel’s channel table has its own small copy button, and it does not copy a different link, it copies the same link with a channel tag added to it, one tag per row. That tag is what produces the breakdown: a click can only be attributed to where it was posted if the link it came from says so, and the tag is read when the click is recorded rather than by anything on your page.
A tag that is not one of the six is not an error and does not lose the click, it is recorded as Direct instead. That matters because platforms strip query parameters, so a link that arrives without its tag still counts.
Six channels are listed, Discord, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, and Direct. The first five take their own brand mark; Direct takes a plain link glyph instead, because it is the catch-all for sharing that belongs to no platform rather than a service with a logo. Note that its row still hands you a tagged link, the same as the other five, the bare, untagged link is what the main Copy link button gives you.
The bars beside each row are scaled to the leading channel rather than to the total. That is deliberate: the question a channel breakdown answers is which of these is working best, and against a combined total every bar would be a stub too short to compare.
Controls that do nothing yet
One part of this page is in place ahead of what sits behind it. It is named here so you can stop wondering whether something is wrong.
- The Perks list: the one block on the link panel that is still a designed placeholder rather than something agreed with you. Everything above it, your link, your commission row, your channel table, is read from your own account.
The contact rows are not among them. Both open the Alltra Partners Discord in a new tab, which is the one channel the partnerships team actually reads; there is no email address on the page, because there was never a mailbox behind the one it used to print.
Everything else on the page reads rather than writes: nothing you press there changes your account, and the only things that reach outside it are the clipboard and those two links.
