Six new platform themes

Design

Six grounds for the whole app, each solved as a full ramp rather than a tinted background — surfaces, borders and fills move together, so every widget stays legible on all six.

What a full theme ramp means in Alltra

A theme in Alltra is a complete set of colour values, not one background colour. Each of the six defines a background, four surface levels from the page up to a hovered card, three tiers of text, a hairline and a strong border, a scale of hover and selected fills, and shadows. Alltra Tracker, Alltra Portfolio and Alltra Intelligence are painted from that set.

Each Alltra theme is tuned to its own background. Hover and selected fills are white over the surface on the dark themes and black on the light ones. Amber and Iris lift their borders a fixed step above their own surfaces so card edges do not sink into their warm or cool cast, and Light and Slate draw your accent one shade deeper so it reads on a pale ground.

The six themes beside your accent and Dashboard Styles

The six Alltra themes split into two families: Dark, Onyx, Amber and Iris are dark, and Light and Slate are light. Onyx is the only theme with a true black background, which matters on an OLED screen; the other three dark themes are near-blacks with a slight cast.

The theme in Alltra is one of three independent choices in Settings › Appearance. The theme is the ground; the accent, one of fifteen, colours interface highlights such as selected rows and focus rings, never the data; and Dashboard Styles set the profit, loss and metric colours that gains, losses and neutral figures are drawn in. If red and green are hard to tell apart, change Dashboard Styles, not the theme.

Where you set a theme

Your Alltra theme is set from Settings › Appearance or the Settings drawer the navbar opens, which share one piece of state, and neither has an option to follow your device's light or dark setting. On a phone, the Appearance sheet offers only Light and Dark; a theme chosen on a desktop, such as Onyx, stays in force until you pick Light or Dark. The Appearance, accent and chart colours guide names the six themes, the fifteen accents and the ten Dashboard Styles presets.
