2026 Market impact on traders

The first Alltra Paper looks at which events actually moved price in 2026, how quickly each one repriced, and what that changed about sizing, holding time and where risk was worth taking.

Most market commentary is written the morning after and grades itself. This is the opposite exercise: we took the year's scheduled and unscheduled events, measured what happened in the minutes and hours around each, and let the distribution say which ones mattered.

What is in it

  • Every scheduled release of 2026, ranked by realised move rather than by billing
  • How long each event took to reprice, and how often the first move was the wrong one
  • What holding through an event cost on average, against sitting it out
  • Where the year's risk was actually paid for, by session and by instrument

Who it is for

Anyone sizing around the calendar. If you have ever flattened before a print because that is what you were told to do, this is the paper that tells you what that instruction was worth in 2026 — for your session, at your holding time.

Written from execution data rather than opinion. Where the sample was too small to say anything, the paper says that instead.

Everything is ready for you.All that's left… is to begin.
